Does anyone here was a robotic prostatectomy? Prostate cancer elimination. ED How long was this?

I'm interested in listening to people who have used Robotic Surgery for removal of prostate cancer. I would like to know your age the time of surgery and the time ED was present. Has anyone returned to normal or can be said to have had a full recovery? Thanks for your time!

I mentor kids with prostate cancer. I had it four years ago after 51 years of age and had a radical prostatectomy. Two weeks later he became my surgeon in one of the only ones doing the transfer of robotics. I talked to him at length about the benefits. He said that due to the precision that will never return again the method of surgery of age. But he made clear that he and others have more difficulty getting to the fall of the robotic procedure, and need generally re-training. Thus, not one of the first patients of their doctor. I've talked to several guys who were very happy with their robotic procedures. His recovery time is about 3-4 weeks instead of 6-8 weeks. But no matter what any doctor says ED is going to be his biggest problem later. Only 25% of patients recover completely. I'm at 90%, and all the viagra in the world is not going to help me (made all, I hate them all). Urinary incontinence is not Evern be a concern if you have a first class surgeon at a major center do the work. I was at the University of California Irvine Medical Center. The name of my doctor was Alhering. The trauma of surgery, robotic or otherwise, will have its consequences. I also had my limph nodes removed, so it was an additional trauma. But I would not change nothing. I am in good shape – for the moment.
